Like a lot of businesses – our story started when our own family started to grow, and we realised some things that we wanted for this chapter of our life - just didn’t exist.

As a Clinical Psychologist and a Scientist, we were always looking to create products that truly enabled a deeper sense of connection with our kids - which led to the creation of our Memory Mat range.

At the outset, we thought we were creating memory foam play mats that didn’t make your house look like a daycare (a noble cause) … but we learned quickly that the impact these products were having on young families was far more significant and impactful. We realised that for a lot of families, we weren’t just making their lounge rooms look and feel amazing… we were actually creating a space for families to come together, to play, laugh, learn, grow and connect.

So many of our customers would write to us explaining how their Memory Mats had “changed the way” their family interacted. Dads were getting down and wrestling and playing with their kids safely. Toddlers were tumbling without the tears and fears. Grandparents were getting up and down with their grandchildren with ease. Families were connecting meaningfully… simply because they had a soft place to sit on the ground… how crazy is that!?

Through this process, we realised that there are some products in life that open the door for magical memories to be made. Things that enable connection as opposed to hindering it… and this is now our guiding star for everything we create.
